The financial services industry is starting to Go Green. According to Green Business Bureau New’s June 9th blog, a recent study commissioned by IBT Enterprises, LLC of Norcross, GA, indicated that 109 of 124 financial services firm executives said green initiatives were important to them. 54 said they were planning on using green materials in remodelling or building a new facility.

In January 2009, shortly after moving to the Meridian Township in Okemos, Michigan, IAM Financial, LLC was awarded a Green Star for its recycling efforts. They also offer clients a way to make a difference by investing in socially responsible funds.

The Green Star program, run by the Meridian Commercial Recycling Group (MCRG), is comprised of volunteer business owners who share a passion for making the world a better place by leaving a smaller ecological footprint. To become a Green star visit MCRG.
